Horowhenua College, community collaboration with Cordall

Community collaboration

We recently came to Cordall for some colourful nylon cord. We used the materials to make recycled and sustainable grocery shopping bags with the Year 7/8 St Josephs students that come to us for Design Technology.  Attached is a picture of the first group of students who have finished their bags, which also incorporate the traditional Maori tukutuku weaving technique.

The students love their bags and we would like to thank you for your support in this project. We think the bags look great and we are especially proud that we could partner with a local business to source our materials.
